MPI-TX hosts Dr. Florita Bell Griffin, founder of the Little Flower Education Systems, and Leon Gatewood, founder of the non-profit HOLLA, discussed “literacy and black boys” on the Little Flower Literacy and Economics Radio show on Thursday Oct 15th at 10:00 am.
The discussion centered around the plight of illiteracy among black boys including the dismal statistic that in some neighborhoods 0% of black boys are reading on grade level.
Joining the hosts in the discussion were, brother of Florita, Attorney Asa Bell, and brothers of Leon, Minister Curtis Gatewood of the North Carolina NAACP, Joseph Gatewood president of Gatewood Financial, and Robert Gatewood MBA, founder of Marketing Pulpit International (MPI).

Gatewood Moderates Forum at Bethune-Dubois Institute
On Sept. 22,2015 BDI hosted an important forum, BRIDGING THE COMMUNICATION DIVIDE, at Veterans Plaza in downtown Silver Spring.
The event, which was moderated by MPI’s Robert Gatewood, included panelists, President Obama appointee and FCC Commissioner Mignon L. Clyburn along with Karen Cheeks, CEO of Cheeks Communications.
