MPI Welcomes Nationally Televised ABC’s “Rising Star” Shameia Crawford

On Friday August 15th, the DC and NC hosts of Marketing Pulpit International welcomed to the show, Shameia Crawford, the talented singing contestant on the nationally televised ABC “Rising Star” show.

Shameia was in Los Angeles, CA for nine weeks and sang on Sunday, August 10th at 9:00PM (EST), in the fourth round of competitions.

Joining Shameia on the Marketing Pulpit show were her parents, who shared their experience of raising a “rising star,” and Sharon Bennett, the MPI-NC host.

MPI-Featured Drum Recital a Big Hit!

Whoever said that some of the best things in life are free must have been referring to an annual event that showcased young drummers who spent a good portion of their summer learning to play the drums.

Broderick Robinson (shown above with the performers), presented his 4th Annual Drum Recital on Saturday, August 2nd 1 – 4:30pm.

The event was hosted by Hot Licks Guitar Shop in Waldorf Maryland.

Tammy Robinson, who planned the event (shown on left with Hot Licks owner, Cyn, and Marketing Pulpit’s, Gatewood) was all smiles at the huge turnout of attendees who represented every walk of life.

Over the years, I’ve encountered some habits that are surefire success killers.

One of those compulsions is to miss a deadline due to a utopian quest for perfection. Instead of taking the most exiguous route to the goal line, some perfectionists pile on layers of unnecessary activities; inject gratuitous alternatives; and create such chaos that others are unable to differentiate between the means and the end.
