Bridging the Social Media Divide: Communication is a Two-way Street!
In an era in which newborns are basically born on Facebook, and in which seniors are practically omitted from daily conversations, there is a widening communication chasm dividing the generations.
Sometimes differences of opinions are less about than they are the inability to communicate. The purpose of this workshop is to bridge the disconnect between the communication methods of the young and the old.
In this workshop, attendees will discover time-tested and proven techniques that help them cross-generationally communicate in general and via Social Media in particular.

The Bethune-DuBois Institute (BDI) is a nonprofit-organization founded by Dr. C. DeLores Tucker for the purpose of helping students and young adults achieve both a quality education and leadership development guidance.
One way of doing this is to host solution-oriented public policy forums on critical issues in the arenas of health, education, economics, culture or politics. The upcoming forum, SBridging the Digital Divide: Communication is a 2-Way Street, is a continuation of what BDI has been doing for the past twenty nine years. The forum will be held Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Veterans Plaza in downtown Silver Spring.
