Fearless … Dick Gregory Remembered

Our lives are like quilts, each patch representing a person who has made a profound impact upon our lives.

The biggest patches are occupied by family members, educators, and those who are close to us. Then there’s a section of the quilt that’s reserved for those who have touched us from afar.

Even though I met Dick Gregory only once, from a distance he stitched a “bravery” patch onto my quilt of life. His fearlessness impacted me in profound ways for which I’m eternally grateful.
